The cottage had the basics - coffee, tea, bacon, and eggs. The views were stunning, and there were plenty of attractions nearby. The open space was great for kids.
Cage eggs for breakfast? Wow, nothing says luxury like eggs from imprisoned chickens.

Really lked the location and views, and the rural feel of the place - the ponies and Patrick the alpaca were a bonus.
laundry facilities would have been useful.

Welcoming and accommodating and very comfortable.
Bathroom sink way too small and heater went out and couldn't start it up without assistance and was too late to ask for help.

The unit was very spacious and well equipped.
The unit was not sound proofed with noise coming from residents in the unit above.

Owner was very friendly! the entire resort was very nice and quiet and it feels great to be away from the city life for a weekend. Really enjoyed the provision of breakfast bacon, eggs and bread as well. The back of the property has a view to die for and it just makes you forget that you are actually in fact just an hour away form Brisbane. Loved it.
Well the parking lot was a little small... I understand that that aren't many rooms but then the 8 parking spots weren't just quiet enough. We had to park on the grass (it was not far or anything, just that we skidded a little and the poor grass has bald patches now). Also it would be nice if the owner mentioned at first go that we had to wash our own dishes or a fee will be charged. I have absolutely no problem with washing dishes and I fully understand that it is a small resort and dirty dishes = a lot of extra work and that a fee should be charged for it, but it just would be a lot better if it was mentioned when we checked in instead of us realising it just as we were leaving and had to frantically wash them. Not that those were bad things about the place, we loved it, but just suggestions as to what can be done to make it even better =)

The guestrooms at Verandah House Country Estate are so comfy! The premium bedding made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. I loved that the rooms had free WiFi. It made it easy for me to stay connected and share my amazing stay with everyone. The kitchen in some units was a nice touch. I couldn't resist whipping up a quick snack during my stay. The balcony and patio with mountain or pool views were breathtaking. I spent hours just enjoying the peaceful scenery. Having coffee/tea makers and ceiling fans in the rooms was a great convenience. It made my stay even more enjoyable. The private bathrooms with showers and hair dryers in every unit were a nice touch. I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the day.
Personally, I found the temperature in the rooms a bit too warm, but others might enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

The retreat is set on a very attractive plot of land on the side of Mount Tamborine. The mountain views were very beautiful.
While the staff are friendly and try to be helpful they have clearly lost sight of the state of the retreat. It was run-down and unclean. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned (covered with beard shavings). Although the room was booked with breakfast included this comprised of a pack of raw eggs and bacon left in the fridge for you to cook yourself on an electric frypan in the room. You are also reminded to washup otherwise you will be charged an additional $25 cleaning fee. I feel this is unreasonable when the room is already charged at $175 a night.

We definitely got great value for our money. The room was cozy and comfortable, with beautiful views all around. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the staff treated us like family.
Breakfast items could have been more varied and flavorful.

The location was lovely, only a 10 min drive from the main street on Mount Tamborine, so very quite but still easily accessible to everything. The price was brilliant it was the same price as a commercial camp site we had looked at in the area but included breakfast and cooking equipment. People have previously complained that the cooking area was small but I actually enjoyed this and felt it added to the holiday charge. The rooms were huge and the beds comfy. And the view was gorgeous.
Nothing - everything was lovely.
